DAVID Kuester claimed a four-medal haul in his final event competing in the 75+ age group.
The 79-year-old, of Bicester Athletic Club, entered five events at the British Masters Winter Throws Championships, which were held at the Horspath Athletics and Sports Ground earlier this month.
Kuester had a solid competition, despite a lengthy recovery from a right shoulder injury in the lead-up to the event.

His results some him pick up silver medals in the 4kg hammer, with a throw of 26.59m, and in the heavy hammer (10.43m).
Kuester also picked up bronze medals in the 500g javelin, when his left-handed throw reached 10.45m, and in the 4kg shot put (7m). He also finished fifth in the 1kg discus (15.12m).
Kuester is now looking forward to May, when he will compete in his first 80+ age group competition. The hammer and shot will be 3kg, the heavy hammer 5.5kg, and the javelin 400g.
