EDDIE Pepperell finished just outside the top 20 at the Kenya Open.

The 33-year-old Frilford Heath member holed four birdies and three bogeys on the opening day in Nairobi, before finishing on par the following day.

Another one-under par day followed in the third round, thanks to three birdies and a couple of bogeys.

Despite a double bogey on the sixth hole, he saved his best performance until the final day, when he managed seven birdies and just a single bogey.

That display ensured Pepperell finished six-under par overall, and tied for 23rd.

The tournament was won by Darius van Driel, who claimed his maiden title with a two-shot victory over Joe Dean and Nacho Elvira. The Dutchman finished the Kenya Open 14-under par.
