NORHAM Gardens LTC will host one of the most influential men in tennis when Nick Bollettieri visits tomorrow.

The 84-year-old, who has coached ten number one players, including Andre Agassi, Boris Becker and Serena Williams, will spend the day at the Alexandra Courts in Summertown.

Bollettieri, who founded the first full-time tennis boarding school which combined training with academic studies in Florida in 1978, now known as the IMG Academy, has also been responsible for the development of Kei Nishikori and Heather Watson.

“This is quite a coup,” said Norham Gardens chairman, Peter Wing Young.

“We want to promote good value tennis in Oxford.

“In particular, we want to encourage young players, so it is really exciting to have Nick Bollettieri visit our club.”

The clinic for adults and juniors will take place on the hard and grass courts, starting at 10am with an introductory talk, before finishing at 6.30pm.
