EDDIE Pepperell eagled the final hole of his second round to enter the top ten in the Dubai Duty Irish Open at the K Club.
The Abingdon golfer’s spectacular finish gave him a two-under par 70 and put him on three under 141 at the halfway stage.
When he finished his round, Pepperell was joint sixth, five shots behind the early joint-leaders Scot Marc Warren and US Masters champion Danny Willett, who were one ahead of Rory McIlroy.
It was an up-and down round for Pepperell, who had three birdies and two bogeys on his first nine holes.
After a double-bogey at the twelfth, he birdied the 14th and eagled the par-five 18th.
