OXFORDSHIRE’S Bradley Smith secured another fine finish after coming seventh in the MotoGP’s Dutch TT race at Assen.

Starting 12th, Smith, who hails from Forest Hill, climbed to eighth on the first lap and was battling for fifth for most of the second half of the race.

“Beating two factory bikes was great, so I’ve got to be pleased with my performance,” he said.

The race was won by the Yamaha of championship leader Valentino Rossi.
