OXFORDSHIRE’S Benjamin Horseman was in fantastic form as he celebrated a double gold success at the county under nine championships at St Helen and St Katharine School in Abingdon.
Horseman got off to a perfect start by landing the boys singles title by edging out Jack Needell, from Bloxham, 21-11.
The Chesterton youngster continued his success as he then partnered Needell in the final of the boys doubles, where they got the better of North Oxford twins Yifeng and Lueming Yang 21-9 with a super display.
The girls singles was landed by Headington’s Zoe Soonawalla, who held off the challenge of Jeevika Tilakraj, from Abingdon, 21-5 in the final.
The bronze medallists included Yifeng Yang (boys’ singles) as well as Abingdon’s Alexander Siefring, Minster Lovell’s Freddie Driver, Botley’s Clement Jin and Leo Saarelma, from Abingdon, all in the boys’ doubles.
