Tower Hill edged to a 4-3 win at Fleet Town in the Southern Region Women’s League Cup first round.
However, they were grateful to the woodwork which denied Fleet a last-gasp equaliser after Jee Witcher’s clearance hit the bar.
The visitors took the lead on eight minutes when Sophie Grimson crossed for Samantha Bevan-Talbot to smash the ball into the net.
It got even better for Tower Hill on 17 minutes when Sarah Snowdon’s corner was buried by the on-rushing Emma Proctor.
Ten minutes later, Tower made it 3-0, with Madeline Llewellyn-Jones putting through her own net.
However, Joanne Harfield pulled one back on the half-hour mark, and Katie James converted a penalty for a push by Louise Blayney on Har-field.
Tower Hill made it 4-2 on 55 minutes when Bevan-Talbot completed a brace.
But Fleet would not give up with Harfield scoring her second on 65 minutes to set up a nerve-jangling finish.
