Actor Joshua Malina has given a ringing endorsement for the Apple Watch during a Periscope video recorded while waiting for rehearsals to start.

The Scandal actor, who reiterated that he had not been paid for any endorsement, said: “I am hot on the Apple watch. I like it very much.”

On Persicope, those broadcasting can see questions and comments pop up on their screen in real time. Joshua, better known to Scandal fans as David Rosen, also praised the Apple device on Twitter.

He was seen in the Periscope video wearing the watch on his right hand.

Joshua, who plays a lawyer in the Washington-based show, said for him, as someone who checks their phone “100 times a day”, it’s really useful.

“I like the way it looks and the way it feels. It does everything the phone does better.”

He also said he found it super-easy to text by using the voice commands.

David, who was also in The West Wing, said the phone was easier to use because he could just glance at his wrist to check texts, emails and his schedule.

He also said that because he uses his phone to provide directions when driving, it’s safer to have alerts on his wrist, rather than in his handheld. A fact reiterated on Twitter.

Although we don’t know which version he went for, he said paying $10,000 (£6,592) would be stupid, suggesting he gave the Apple Watch Edition a miss.
