A NEW heart machine to help save lives was presented to Witney ambulance service.

The £4,000 defibrillator was bought by the Lions Club of Witney in 1988. It was a more up to date version of the machines being used at that time.

Leading ambulanceman David Walker said: “The new machines are far more efficient and will help us do a better job.”

Lions Club president Martin Winstone holds the cheque flanked by ambulance staff, left to right, Mr Walker, Maxine Tabberer and Shaun Simpson, and Madeleine Radburn, secretary of the League of Friends.
