A TRIAL date has been set after a young man has denied attempted murder after a stabbing in Oxford.

Kane Khan, a man in his 40s, was stabbed in the Cosin Close alleyway, off Manzil Way, on March 13 this year.

He was rushed to hospital after running into a nearby mosque to seek help.

Hassan Hussain, 24, of Nye Bevan Close, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (April 11) charged with one count each of attempted murder, possession of an imitation firearm, namely a handgun, and possession of a bladed article, namely a ‘Rambo’ knife.

Wearing a grey tracksuit and large silver glasses, Hussain pleaded not guilty to all three counts.

A trial date has now been set for August 19 at the same court.
