A YOUNG man has pleaded guilty to damaging a vibrator and fleeing police custody.

Ricky Ousley appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (April 11) charged with five counts surrounding an incident of domestic abuse.

The 24-year-old, who appeared in the dock wearing a grey tracksuit and who could be seen crying throughout the hearing, pleaded guilty to all five counts.

It was heard that on March 9 this year in Abingdon, Ousley damaged a vibrator and a wall as well as beating his partner at the time.

He was also charged with engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate relation between December 3, 2023 and March 10, 2024.

Ousley was arrested and while at John Radcliffe Hospital on March 10 this year, he fled lawful custody by walking out of the hospital while the police officers monitoring him were swapping over shifts.

The court heard that Ousley absconded himself for a while but then handed himself back into a police station the following day.

Ousley, of Nowell Road, Oxford, also pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, on March 9 this year.

The case has now been adjourned for sentencing to take place at the same court on May 16.

Judge Ian Pringle adjourned the case so a report can be produced to determine Ousley’s level of dangerousness.
