The three girls holding the basket organised a jumble sale to raise money for young patients at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford.
The 10-year-olds - left to right, Karen Bowsher, Wendy Hill and Kim Winstone - held the sale in 1973 in the Memorial Hall at Stanton Harcourt, near Witney.
They had a friend in the hospital at that time and raised £42 which they are seen handing over to some of the young patients.

Karen lived in Flexney Paddock, Stanton Harcourt, Wendy at Ferndale, Sutton, and Kim in Eynsham Road, Sutton. They were helped in their fundraising by Susan Pantry, also 10, of Blackditch, Stanton Harcourt.
