A yellow weather warning has been issued for Oxford with heavy fog expected this morning.
The Met Office has warned that drivers in the city and surrounding areas will experience difficult conditions this morning.
Drivers across Oxford will encounter the fog throughout Wednesday morning until approximately 9am.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Fog and freezing fog patches, dense in places, likely to cause some travel disruption and difficult driving conditions.”
The visibility issue is set to remain well into rush hour though with drivers to be affected in the city.
“Early fog and freezing fog patches will lift through the course of this morning,” added the spokesperson.
“However, during the rush hour, fog will still be dense in places reducing visibility to below 100 metres at times.”
It is also likely that bus and train services will be delayed as a result of the adverse weather conditions.
