A FIGHTER jet stunned onlookers in Oxford when it cut through the sky over the Bodleian Library yesterday.
Oxford Mail photographer David Fleming managed to catch a picture of the plane, believed to be a McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, just in time before it soared off in the direction of north Oxford at about 2pm.
Mr Fleming said: “There was this loud noise and the aircraft swept in an arc from behind me. You don’t usually see planes flying so low over the city.”
