A DOWNPOUR failed to steal the limelight from this princely pooch after her shiny eyes and tick-tocking tail won affection at a street party.
Chocolate Labrador Ruby was rewarded for her good looks in Upper Heyford on Saturday, where families feasted on food and embraced games in spite of stormy weather.
The three-year-old dog, pictured with owners Charlotte and Victoria Cullen, picked up two prizes in a Crufts-esque competition at the event in The Square.
She sauntered in front of dog show judges with her sheeny nose and cuddly coat, impressing them enough to be bestowed with rosettes for the waggiest tail and most appealing eyes.
Residents were pelted with rain for much of the afternoon at the former RAF base, as a thunderstorm set in.
Umbrellas went up amid the showers and families still managed to enjoy archery and food stalls, including one run by Masterchef star Sarah McCready.
