A FIRE which ripped through two sheds today has left the vehicles inside destroyed.

The blaze took hold of the sheds in North Green in Kirtlington about 3pm today.

A neighbour called the emergency services after seeing smoke coming from the sheds and crews were sent from Bicester and Kidlington.

Incident commander watch manager Ellis Bicknell said: "The neighbour and occupier took the correct action by not to trying to tackle the blaze which was growing in intensity, instead they dialled 999 and called for the Fire and Rescue Service.

"They also gave us information on the shed contents which in a fire situation is extremely helpful to us’."

Crews managed to stop the fire spreading but the two vehicles inside were destroyed.

An investigation into the cause is underway, although it is not thought to be suspicious.
