A cat escaped largely unharmed after being shot by an air rifle in Carterton on Friday night.
Thames Valley Police tweeted to say officers had been called to Swinbrook Road overnight to find the frightened feline.
But despite having to take the cat to the vets police confirmed the animal was luckily relatively unharmed.
